Going to NSC? What are your must-see events/sessions?
Hopefully, you didn't click on the title and are thinking this is clickbait.
For those who are going to the NSC safety conference and expo, I'm just curious about what they are hoping to get out of the conference?
Yesterday, I made a point to go through my inbox and review all the (what seemed like neverending) emails from Safety Vendors to see who I need to add to my must-see list.
I think it is awesome that some of them offer prizes, giveaways, and free coffee just for stopping by their booths. Now, since I usually don't win anything at these events, those are not the things that drive me to add them to my list. The products, the materials, and the service are what piques my interest.
So what are the things you are looking for at the Expo? Are you interested in VR training? Are you looking for the ONLY biobased earplugs? Are you interested in an online safety platform? Maybe you are looking for the latest improvements in Fall protection. No matter what problem you are trying to find a solution for, the Expo never disappoints. The trick is...how do you find companies that offer those services?
I have completed my own list but I didn't want to think that I was trying to sway any of you before I posted my list.
I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll catch you live from the show.

I'm looking forward to one of the sessions on Wednesday called "Comprende? Overcoming the language barrier in safety". When I was on the fire department, we learned basic medical terminology and questions in Spanish for medical calls and it helped out tremendously. I think the same is crucially important for safety and have never learned any Spanish safety terminology.
I also saw that one of the booths is going to have a new cannabis breathalyzer. I already have my preconceived notions about it since it was part of my research, but I still love seeing new products on the market and seeing the developments.

Lone worker safety GPS is my top one. Definitely some of the lectures, and some SMS/LMS platforms.
