I am Out
You commoners will have to just get along without me for two weeks. I am taking my bride of 45 years (September 10) to the land of my ancestors. I am going to look for my castle owned by my ancestors, Thomas FitzGerald, 2nd Earl of Kildare (died 1328) and Thomas Fitzgerald 10th Earl of Kildare (died 1537). After the “royal treatment” I may associate with you all again.
Just kidding, I too am just a red, white, and blue blooded American! The Customs guy changed our name to “Fitzgerald” when my great great grandparents got off the boat and they headed for North Dakota to “Homestead”. After 45 years of putting up with my BS my sainted wife deserves a trip to Venus and back, but Ireland for 9 days and London for 3 is what she is settling for. I will eat some awesome seafood in Galway, have a couple pints of Guinness in Dublin, and Lord knows what in Killarney, for all of you! I will talk to you all September 17th and share some pictures! Till I get back, “Keep’em Safe!”
PS I have no real idea if I am related to those older Tom Fitz’s. I am named for my grandfather a former North Dakota farmer turned US Steel worker in Duluth, MN. Another reason I look with pride upon my experience as a former Iron Foundryman!

I don't know what we'll do without your safety stories of old - guess we'll just have to be patient.

Don’t miss the Stone, and make sure it is a proper pour!!
If you get to see the causeway, and the cliffs then DO IT! Most spectacular geological formations I have ever laid first-person eyes on.

I feel like I drove through Kildare 5 years ago, on my way south of Dublin. You're gonna have a great trip!!

Congratulations 🎉
