Aging Workforce
Hi Superstars!
So I am sure we are all dealing with an aging workforce in the trades industry.
What are some topics or programs do you use or touch on to offer and help the employees to help remind our spring chickens that they are in fact Not Spring Chickens anymore....
Physical aspects and quality heart living and health improvement.
Love to see some of your ideas.

I use toolbox talks regarding heart attacks and aging issues we deal with. Also Osha does offer information in this area. In our plant we suffer this also and even train my first responders how to deal with this issue while treating people.

Some ideas for promoting health are:
1. Provide free health screenings, such as blood work and blood pressure checks
2. Communicate the details of the company’s Employees Assistance Program (EAP)
3. Promote total worker health by speaking about safety at work and at home

Survey the workforce anonymously or ask for feedback directly. Also look at workers comp claim data to see if there are any trends with people over XX years old.
