Social Media Usage?
Our company spends a lot of time on LinkedIn and Twitter to connect with safety professionals. But I’ve been wondering, are people active on other platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok? I’m curious to know if people deem those spaces ‘personal’ or are they being used to talk about work?

It depends on the business. LinkedIn is great for connecting on an individual level, as well as marketing your business. For me, I hardly generate any leads via Facebook, Instagram, or anything else. My leads have been 80% LinkedIn and 20% word of mouth. However, I do know other businesses that have success the opposite of mine, so I think it all depends on the type of business and overall clientele market.

Facebook and instagram aren't bad. Facebook has a couple safety groups that are actually pretty big. Instagram has a decent safety community on there as well. I've picked up a few users from FB and instagram.
TikTok - not so much. Maybe in a few years when the safety community grows on there.

I follow some pages on IG about safety, mostly @OshaIsThisSafe and @Osha_Is_God because there’s always some good examples and personal stories people submit of close calls and things gone wrong.
I have a very firm work/life balance though, so keep it strictly to linkedIn and SK otherwise.

I spend a lot of time here, Instagram, and Twitter. I am going to spend more time on Linked In, too. My usernames are @SafetyBran if you wanna find me!
