Searching for a home roofing contractor as a safety pro be like…
Just to add another level of difficulty to finding a responsive reasonable contractor, my conscience won’t allow a crew on my roof without fall protection.

😂😂😂 doesn’t exist

Yup! Good One! I even do it on vacation! I was visiting my daughter in Parkland, FL a few years ago, In southern Florida they have these steep roofs that are tiled. It was November so the temps were bearable so I was playing catch football with my grandsons in the front yard. Two stake trucks pulled up with probably 20 guys standing in the backs of the trucks with straw hats. They were all obviously Hispanic. We went inside to get some lunch. When we came back most of the 20 guys were on the roof of the neighbors 2-story home. Some were fighting he palm tree branches over the roof. No one had fall protection. I went over to the guy standing on the ground yelling in Spanish to the guys on the roof. I politely introduced myself and told him that I was an Industrial Safety Guy, and was not 100% on Construction. I told him I was positive all the guys in the roof especially the ones near the edge had to have personal fall protection, and I would advise it for everyone due to the angle of the roof. He just looked at me, pointed at the side of the truck where there was a phone number and told me to call his boss, in heavily accented English. So I did. Boss said he would get to the job site and inspect. An hour later guys still on the roof. I called again and told the guy he had 10 minutes to get his men off the roof or I was calling the local OSHA Office. He called me a few nasty names, most I had heard before many times, but never with "Yankee" attached. In any case everyone came down a few minutes later and trucks left. Never saw them again the two weeks I was there!

LOLLLL - good one

Don't ever watch a fire department on a roof of a burning building.
