Has anyone made plans as to how they're going to tackle the new COVID testing requirements?
We have about a 40-50% vaccination rate at our plant of about 200. That's over 100 people per week we need to produce a negative COVID test. I know you can buy over the counter rapid tests - I'm wondering if that's the route we go, and just supplement the cost of the test if insurance doesn't.
Wanted to open up the discussion here. How will you guys tackle this one?

Good Question. I have no idea. My only thought, if the company does not have a HIPPA policy regarding medical information or anyone trained how are you going to track it. Take thier word or have them show proof? Who going to cover the cost of the testing and who going to provide the personal to do the test. If it all up to each company what is a good increase in service to offset the new cost?
We have been collecting saliva samples since July 2, 2020. We ship them overnight to a lab for analysis and I receive the results the following afternoon. For approximately 70 employees including all contractors.
I’m sure the company will have to pay for the testing.

I wonder if anyone is going to start doing onsite testing. Outsource an occupational nurse and have the medical party handle testing

Not sure yet. Waiting to see if OSHA issues and emergency standard as per the presidents request.
I say we take this as a don't ask don't tell approach and just mark negatives.

Definitely a lot of questions to be answered before this gets put into place. Hoping that this ETS will give some more specific direction rather than leaving the standard vague.
