Often times were so busy looking out for the well-being of others we forget about ourselves. I’ll try and make these threads every so often

I’m so glad to see this post today. EHS can be extremely rewarding field but also challenging, especially when it feels like we missed the mark on something. There are times I feel so worn down from the mental and emotional workload of trying to appease so many competing demands.
When applying for careers and never getting any type feedback it is annoying.

Sometimes in your quest to make everyone else happy, you make yourself miserable.
I don’t know who said this first but it’s 100% true.
Often times I start to feel more like an adversary than someone trying to help. I mean, it's not like I ENJOY using up budgets, but sometimes I have to in order to fulfill our EHS initiatives
I experienced much anxiety at my last job, but it was mainly due to my boss micro-managing every aspect of my job. The EHS field is a VERY big field with vast knowledge. And my boss would always be-little me when I did not know a certain standard by heart, but I was more than willing to always learn. It was tough. It really hit my self esteem even though everyone else at the company absolutely loved working with me. Long story short, I have started a new career. I feel appreciated and valued.
If you have anxiety, it can be really tough to deal with. But just know it does get better. Surround yourself with people who will uplift you and give you positive energy. Just because you didn’t “fit” in someone else’s agenda does not mean you won’t be the perfect employee for another company. :)

Never feel that you need to stay in a job that causes anxiety or other health issues. Find some time to network and apply to open jobs at companies you align with. It’s worth it!!
