Fall Protection While Erecting Scaffolding
How do you maintain 100% tie off while employees are erecting/disassembling scaffolding?

Couple of ways this can be achieved. The first one is that individuals use the rose-et, which is the vertical pole for an anchor point. The second uses the horizontal bars; however, you will want to check with the manufacturer to ensure that this is allowed. The majority are engineered for this, but some might not be. The personal SRL with the large pelican hook works the best in this application vs. the regular shock-absorbing lanyard. With the SRL, we have better control of the fall distance.

Awesome question! I’m not a scaffold expert, but this has peaked my interest for sure. I’ll run it by the contractor we use for scaffold construction and pick his brain
