Home Safety........
Anyone out there promote home safety as well as your plant Safety. If so how do you get it done?

Not as much as we should, but we did ramp up our ergonomics recommendations as many of our employees are working remotely

Once a year we host plant tours for the families of employees. Every year we buy "little" safety glasses for the children to wear on the tour. The children take them home! Maybe the kid will ask " Daddy or Mommy, do you wear your safety glasses?" & maybe it makes the workers think more about wearing them :) WE also have safety moments before meetings where a lot of time, we talk about home safety - ladders, lawn care, cleaning chemicals, etc.
I do especially for code reds and blues. Making sure there are routes the family can take to stay safe in any emergency situation.
We do quarterly safety communications and we try to aim them at things that can happen both at work and at home, drawing them together. This quarter we focused on fire safety and how the holiday season can be more dangerous than other times of the year with fires.

Since I am new to the Sote I will say this often, I am speaking from a manufacturers sales rep position, but I always try to mention home safety when doing trainings. Putting up Christmas lights, cutting tile, or mulching/mowing(all things I have done in the last week), shooting guns etc... for me it is practice what you preach but also more awareness.
