Chemical safety program
Any of you guys have a chemical safety program, that outlines what chemicals are stored onsite and how to protect yourself from those chemicals?
Right now we rely on labels, GHS, etc on the chemical containers - but I wanted to see if anyone has a full blown program on this and what that program looks like

Yes we have a huge program here due to the fact we are a chemical plant.
What you are describing sounds like the OSHA required hazard communication program.

Coming from a refinery this was a formal program with annual training. I’m interested in responses about how formalized this process is at non-chemical intensive facilities.

We've worked with a lot of clients on this, and there's a big range of detail in terms of chemical management programs (and in terms of what's needed depending on the type of business). I can't share copies of the various programs since they're proprietary to each company, but I do have some high level presentations discussing some systems for managing chemical storage that I can share, including some novel labeling systems we've helped develop and implement since GHS and DOT labeling don't tell you everything you need to know about incompatibility or storage.. email me at baltemose@trinityconsultants.com if you'd like a copy of the presentation(s).
