Engineering controls for dust mitigation
Obviously the COVID-19 stuff is undoubtedly on everyone's mind. With the HUGE shortage in dust masks worldwide, I got to thinking what we can do to eliminate the dust hazard than rely on the dust mask for protection.
The dust collector is the obvious engineering control, but what about for an outdoor environment, or construction site?

This can be handled using fabric tents, made from small to incredibly large. Frac sand mining is a good example of this. Smaller portable section are also available. There are a number of manufacturers of these tents locally as well
Rather than the extreme opinions we seem to be hearing and reading, either panic or cynicism, I feel we should consider a more methodical approach. Viruses have been shown to be transmitted through airborne aerosols that can travel great distances and remain viable for longer periods of time than was originally broadcast.
It is also shown that buildings can be source for contamination.

There are Engineered Controls that can mitigate the chance for exposure and infection.
BlueSky-Global CEO, Dr Michael Seitz developed a means to filter hazardous and non-hazardous dust for the purpose of improving Safety and Air Quality. His patented Filtration system, utilizing HEPA filtration can trap the Airborne aerosols expelled through coughs and sneezes, the main means of transmission.

Help us to get this message out to the Leadership to consider a viable alternative to cancelling school, events, offices and retail establishments, hospitals and any place where people gather to conduct normal activities.
Please contact me at the phone or email below and I will set up a call or meeting with Dr. Seitz.
Thank you for your help in establishing a material solution for the current situation.

You could always use a damp cloth, such as a handkerchief or bandana. The only problem is keeping it wet...
Are you concerned about airborne dust that can be a respiratory issue or combustible dust problem? SonicAire sells oscillating fans that helps with the prevention not accumulation. They work by blowing the dust down to the ground level so it can be swept up.
