Safety and starting a cycle.

Can I initiate a cycle start off of a safety device? I currently have a cell that is in the design phase and I would like to know if starting a cycle off of a safety prox is ok. I have heard of not being able to start a cycle off of a safety device from a previous customer and they did not site a certain code so I don't know if it was a policy they had or a actual safety thing.

Hi Alex, I’ll definitely try to point you to a regulation, just may need a bit more detail. Are you talking about starting a device/piece of equipment off of a safety monitoring instrument? Forgive me, not super savvy with controls terminology But definitely want to help
