Fellow Safety Knights. Thursday, July 29th will be my last day here at Omni Manufacturing following, almost 7 years as safety coordinator. I am not going far though…actually next door to the Capabilities Driving School as a full time driving instructor. Some folks may ask…why the switch in profession at the age of 63? Well, I am just looking at something I would like to do for the next 10 years or so. Did you know that more teens die in motor vehicle crashes than any other form of death, about 2500 per year? I feel a passion and a calling to do whatever I can to reduce that statistic. At least, I am going to give it my best shot! I have appreciated the opportunity to get to know y’all. Best wishes to each of you and keep doing what you are doing...ensuring workplace safety is an important task!
